I’m from a similar background that has similar assumptions as mentioned above. It’s only recently that I’ve seen Mary as God created her. I’m sharing your article with my daughters as a part of our Advent readings. Thank you for sharing this too. I’m glad I found your blog.

I’m going to print this out and study it over a weekend away. Even just after a quick glance it seems my return may require an empty suitcase for the conviction.

Many in my background have shunned Mary, because they assume if you talk highly of her, you must be “bowing” to her. How wonderful to read about what a truly remarkable lady she was. She is not to be worshiped, but she was greatly blessed.

Thank you for showing what a wonderful example of, not only a wife and mother, but a godly servant.
