Since I don't care for the taste of orange with cranberries, we use a recipe that calls for fresh cranberries, sugar, and a river of port! The kids love it! ;-)

Thank you so much. My Cran. is done already, sloshed in brandy. Can't wait to try the Grand Marnier though!

Speaking of Hot Providence :)- my oldest daughter, Alix (12) made your recipe of Cheesy Potatoes from Myrtle Kohl out of the cookbook today. I love how easy it is - and how beautiful and delicious it turns out.
Also - I make Childhood Bread every week ( usually on Mondays) for our lunch bread. The kids all love it! Thank you for the recipe!
Hot Providence is our favorite cook book! I only wish there were more so I could give them as gifts! :)

Happy Thanksgiving! And Welcome home Merkles!

Thanks for sharing. I was never a big fan of cranberry sauce (always canned) until my Mom made Paul Prudhomme's cranberry sauce. It calls for a generous helping of heavy cream, yum! Homemade makes all the difference in the world.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Mrs. Wilson!
