For people anticipating traveling over Snoqualmie, you can sign up for email updates that have the dates and times of blasting and other pass closures on the Washington Department of Transportation. *Very important for people going to doctor appointments, airport, or games in Seattle.

Both the adventures and the writing are quite entertaining. I thought I read somewhere that you’re writing a book about your time in the UK?

We once had an impromptu overnighter in Ellensburg. We were returning from a wedding in Sand Point to our home in the Seattle area. I was expecting our first child and I think I may have acquired food poisoning on top of that. My husband had to pull over for me to “get sick” on the side of the freeway in the pouring rain at least half a dozen times between Sand Point and Ellensburg. Fortunately, my situation was deemed worthy of a hotel room so I was able to spend the rest of the night being sick in a clean, warm and dry environment instead of in a truck stop bathroom. :)
