For any of you ministers’ wives out there who have recently joined us, I send out an email newsletter from time to time called “The Minister’s Wife.” If you would like me to add you to the mailing list, just leave a comment here. (You don’t have to leave your email address, as it is included with your comment.) My mailing list is around 300 wives from a many denominations and a few continents. So if your husband is a minister, feel invited!

A few years ago I began sending out an email newsletter for ministers’ wives, and now I have a mailing list of over two hundred of you from all different parts of the country, as well as from overseas, and from many denominations. I have been rather sporadic about this letter, but I am getting ready to send out a December edition. So, if any of you ministers’ wives out there (or elders’ wives) would like to receive this, now is the time to send me your email address, and I will happily add you to the list. (Also, if you old-timers have changed your email address, please let me know and I’ll update my list.)
If you leave a comment here, I will have your email address automatically. Some of you have asked for back issues, and I have dropped the ball on some of your requests, but not on purpose! I am hoping these missives will find their way into a book some day, and then they will all be in one easy place. Meanwhile, I am happy to receive any of your requests for particular topics to be addressed in future newsletters.
About a year ago I resurrected a newsletter for wives of ministers, and the catchy title for this little missive is The Minister’s Wife. I send this out monthly via email, and I have just under two hundred women who receive it. Most are married to ministers, and some are wives of elders. They are from several different denominations and hail not only from the States, but also from England, Scotland, Australia, South Africa, the Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, and even Montenegro (former Yugoslavia). As I look over the names on my list of contacts, I am struck by the fact that the world is full of pulpits with faithful men thundering out the Word week after week. But my point in bringing all this up is to say that if you are a minister’s wife who would like to receive my newsletter for wives, drop me a comment and I will contact you.
A few years back I wrote a newsletter called The Minister’s Wife, and it was mailed to a handful of wives of pastors around the country, mostly in the CREC. But I got side-tracked and it didn’t last very long. I’m thinking of resurrecting it as an email newsletter to those pastors’ wives out there who would like to receive it. It will not be published on my blog, but rather just sent out to a list of email “subscribers” who would like to receive it.
So, if you are interested, you can leave a comment here, and I will email you back with more information. You do not need to be married to a minister who is pastoring in a church in our denomination. Any pastor’s wives interested are welcome. And if your husband is preparing for the ministry and not yet ordained, you are certainly welcome as well. I will be addressing practical topics that I think might be of help or interest, and you will be able to email me any specific questions or topics you would like me to address. As a minister’s wife of over thirty years, I hope I can be encouraging to you.
When you leave a comment, you don’t need to leave any more information, but when I email you in return, I’d be interested to know a few things about you: what denomination your church is in, how long your husband has been in the ministry, and what part of the U.S. (or what country!) you are in.
I will try to send a “newsletter” once a month, Lord willing. So let me know if you are interested!
