She’s Here!

Our lovely little overdue granddaughter, Blaire Aubrey Alette, arrived today around 5 p.m. and weighed in at 9# 4 oz.  Her mama is doing well, and the Janks siblings were all aglow.  (Well, Titus may have been more interested in figuring out how to turn the lamp on and off…. but his sisters were just tickled and delighted with a fresh baby to love on.)

Thanks to our good and gracious God, and thanks to you all who sent encouraging comments to Rachel!

  1. Oh, they are both beautiful!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!! Congratulations to your entire family!!

  2. A huge big congratulations! You look beautiful even after giving birth, Rachel! This photo is lovely in so many ways – you look so happy and even Blaire looks like she’s smiling at you! (yeah, I know newborns don’t smile, but it sure looks like she is!)

The Lord’s blessing to you and your family. Hope the next few weeks is a beautiful time with the new little one and that the months and years that follow may be full of blessing to your family.

  3. Congratulations! What a lovely Momma and precious little girl! And what a beautiful name to match that darling little one! How wonderful to have yet another blessing around your table! Isn’t our God so very good? 🙂

  4. They are both beautiful, mother and daughter. Praise God for precious children. Our friends delivered a baby boy today, around the same time I believe, also. Wow! Two covenant children around the same time in two different states. God does all kinds of really neat things. 🙂

  5. Yay! Such a LOVELY photo. Mama is basking in joy-it is all OVER her face. So stunning. And baby Blaire is precious. Congratulations all!

  8. I am so happy for you all! Rachel, you look so beautiful. Congratulations on that adorable bundle in your arms!

This photo has really struck me. I now have a new goal: to smile this big after my next little one is born. The second time around I am hoping this will be easier to accomplish.
The first time, I looked exhausted and my husband smiled big enough for the both of us.

When I am in labor, I’ll be thinking of this picture.

Thanks for sharing the news! It has made my day 😀

There must be a story behind this name. I will wait patiently for it.

  16. Congratulations Rachel,
There is nothing like that moment in the hospital lying there holding your new baby. (I have pictures of each of my five in that same hospital hat and blanket too – I love those pictures!) When this new precious person is now seen and held, it’s one of the most precious moments in our lives. I am happy for you and for Blaire, that she will come home to so much love (and a few very special knitted and crocheted items too!)
