My husband makes me laugh

That’s not my husband in the video, in case that was unclear. My husband was the thinker-upper of that little vignette. The director of the piece. The brilliant, or possibly diseased mind responsible for dreaming up that awesome moment with the five-toe shoes and the pen.

And anyway, you should come to the conference. It’ll be fun. And we’re doing another Femina mini-conference this year called Glory Makers. And you should all be there. You can wear your five-toe shoes and bring your Buddhist prayer flags.

  1. Love it. Wish we could be there ~ we’ll have to see!
And Maria, you’re a true movie star. πŸ™‚

  2. oooo! I want to go so bad!!!!!! But living in North Caroline and only 2 weeks from my due date… not doable this year! I missed last year because I had just had a baby too! Its a good reason though! πŸ™‚ Maybe next time, I HOPE!!!

  3. Brilliant. I have bunting hung in my living room (“you know, for kids!”) and because I live in Bloomington, IN everyone mistakes it for Buddhist prayer flags. Oh gag me.

  4. I actually stumbled across this yesterday, laughed my tail off, and went to the extent of searching for 30 minutes to find it again last night, so I could show it to my husband. Totally Awesome!!! And, figures it was Ben. : )

  5. I just laughed out loud! Loved it. Wish I could make it to the conference, but I guess I’ll just have to wait for the recordings.

  6. I wish the conference was in the summer! We live in New York and would consider a road trip or even flying out but it is too far to travel on a weekend during the school year. Maybe some day…the Lord knows!

  7. Now that we are so close to y’all, we think we may actually make it. We enjoyed visting King’s Congregation, and after visiting some other churches, my husband wants to visit King’s Congregation some more. πŸ™‚ It’s fun to meet so many people from Moscow after reading all y’all’s books and blogs for so long.

  8. Hahaha! I kid you not I actually said to my husband today: “I think that I am just going to end up going with the Vibrams”

Now I know that they will also be great for helping me pick up things!

    Still laughing….

  9. He He He, this was sooooooooo funny! My husband and I watched it a few times over, because we found it so amusing πŸ™‚ Pity we’re at the other side of the world (Tasmania, Australia) and cannot make the event.

Looking forward to listening to the Femina mini conference when it hits the web, really enjoyed “Dangerous Women”.

Thanks for all the wisdom and laughs you ladies provide πŸ˜€

  10. Looks great! I would love to be there but I live in Australia. Are you going to record the talks and put them on the net after the conference?
