Hello all! Nancy was kind to ask me to put an update here on Sophia and let you know how she is doing.
She is wonderful! We kept her here at home until last week, per doctor’s orders. She has been quite content, playing with the other kids and doing school. She did a very good job of easing herself back into physical levels that were comfortable, bit by bit. It is simply amazing how fast she has healed! She is back at ballet now, and is able to do the stretches and moves with so much less effort than before her surgery. Her breathing is quieter than it has been for a long time. She is strong and vibrant.

We are incredibly thankful for all of you – for your prayers for her and for our family. Your kind and encouraging words in response to Bekah’s first prayer request for Sophia, were powerful and very, very comforting. Your continued concern for her, your prayers for her, and your thoughtful notes have been a blessing.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
