Thank you so much for these! I grew up never knowing any thing about Advent although we did know it’s purpose, that being Christ’s birth. I only heard of it some ten years or so ago and have gone through some Advent readings with my daughter. I put together my own readings last year that I posted at my blog mainly for a record for my own sake. But I continue to look for new, good sources and was just about to update my blog with a post with new sources I found last night. I’d like to link to your post and reference these readings with your permission, if that would work for you?

Thank you! We tried to check the Christ Church site for readings – but weren’t able to find the site. So my husband had found some – but from a Catholic site – 🙂 We’re grateful you’ve provided an alternative for us –
And we remembered your Advent gift idea a couple of weeks ago – so we had foot pajamas for all the kids – from the 2 year old to the 12 year old boy – all of whom were thrilled. They are excitedly looking forward to each Advent Lord’s Day this year – and so are we!

For the sake of our 12 yo’s manliness, I should add that he’s worn his pajamas once 🙂 – but he was happy to be included.

We have been enjoying the readings and praying for each pastor & church represented. Conrad had us all guess who wrote the first one and we guessed right out!
We’ve been reading through it (though I suppose that isn’t much of a surprise) and I’ve been trying to guess who wrote them as well.
My boys (3 and 18 months) are enjoying our time together in the evenings before bed and it’s been a great blessing to us all.
(Way to go Dad!)
