I just finished the book…your son’s view of the world (embracing the wonder of God’s creation) is so different from mine (ugly, ruined by sin, corruption behind every bush seeking to devour me, etc.). How did you raise your children with what I now know is the Reformed view – a perspective that breeds courage and joy in living? I grew up in a strong Christian home, but I see now that my “default” perspective has made me fearful of life, and my parenting reflects that as well. How do I help my own children (and myself!) to be prudent and wise, yet love life as God’s gift? I’d appreciate any thoughts you could share!
