Well . . . I could either duplicate the entire post here, or I could just send you over to the Amoretti blog to read about the great Cousin Candy Feast 09.
I’m afraid that my lazy side is uppermost at the moment, so I’m just giving you the link and letting you go to the extra work of clicking if you feel like reading about it!
I LOVE it! What a fun memory that will surely stay with them the rest of their lives.
And I must say I’m very impressed with their good handle on delayed gratification. It would seem I can learn a lesson or two from them! 🙂
The burning question on all our minds: Did the event end with anything reminiscent of Lizzie’s last post?
That’s a fun idea, and I really like the shirts. Probably 10 years ago my husband instituted an all you can eat ice cream night at the local ice cream shop. There are a few rules; you must start with a large if you are going to get more than one and you must eat what you purchase. As the kids have grown they can put away a number of larges, but it is a memorable evening and one they won’t let us forget each summer. Family traditions are such an important way of building up the family unit, especailly in our very hectic life. Thanks for the fun idea
Valerie, that’s hilarious!
Any pictures of the actual stash of candy? My daughter is absolutely fascinated by this idea. 🙂
You guys inspire me! The fun and joy in your lives is lovely.
What fun! Cousins are wonderful. I wish our children lived closer to all of theirs.
I showed your post on Amoretti to my husband. He laughed heartily and then got a gleam in his eye that frightens me. I think you may have started something!
