I don’t know if you have ever seen your labors disappear into cyberspace (no doubt you have). I spent a couple hours this afternoon revising Praise Her in the Gates for a new updated version, and I was feeling very smug about getting so much done. But it all went out the window with one click, and there I was, realizing that I would have to start all over again. My mistake. After the initial disappointment, there is really only one thing to do. Start over again.
Things to do list:
1. Revise Praise Her in the Gates.
2. Revise Praise Her in the Gates again.
Save! Back Up! Save! Back Up! 🙂 I’m sure you’ve been repeating the chant lately 🙂
Does’t it seem that this always happens when you’re feeling smug?!?
I just bought Praise Her In The Gates last weekend!
Now it’s already outdated?
Any other Wilson books i should wait for version 2.0?
I love the first version. I’m sure the updates will be helpful as well.
Ouch!
Good news! Turns out it is all there after all. I have to say I celebrated!
Some of the updates are purely because ten years have gone by, and we have 13 grandkids instead of one. Stuff like that. Nothing substantive. But I appreciate Canon letting me give it a look before they reprint. Nice to have another go at it!
I feel a parable coming on…
Or suppose a woman has spent much time making edits and loses them. Does she not call tech support, scan her computer, and search carefully until she finds the edited version? And when she finds it, she writes a blog post, saying ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost edits.”
Congratulations!
Unouch!
I love the parable!
I think I’ll buy the revised version too. I’m loving this one, I’d like to see what you’ve added!
Doesn’t joy just flood your heart when you find out it’s not all lost?
I majorly screwed up my blog recently, and when the dear people at Dreamhost fixed it, I was utterly overjoyed. lol
I love that book and I am glad you reminded me of it. I loaned it out and well….let’s just say I now need another book. I’ll wait for the new one. Thanks for all of your work as Mother to those of us who are first generation Christians!
Rejoice in Texas
