We lined up the grandkids yesterday in chronological order on the Merkles’ porch (all but the two sleeping babies) so they could sing me a happy bday. Now that’s what I call a pretty precious birthday present!

  1. This is great, but I would love to see a photo of all the adults lined up beaming at these cute kids. πŸ™‚

  2. Happy Birthday!!

And what a beautiful house – I just love the front porch – and the warm light glowing inside.

The children are wonderful – you are blessed!

  3. I love to see the kids!!! Thanks for sharing! I hope you had a great birthday. The house does look beautiful.

  4. I appreciate these posts. I have three modestly dressed teen girls, but I also have 11 and 6 yr old boys.. I haven’t known just have to navigate any of this. Your posts have been helpful. Please give any other advice you have on these things.
If you ever have a hankering for another topic :)….my husband and I are seeking input on telling boys about puberty, about how babies are made, and surrounding topics. Our boys were adopted and did not come to us as babies.. perhaps we would have “worked into” the subjects more naturally if they’d been with us since day one, or if we had previously raised boys before we adopted them. In any case, we need help, guidance, something. πŸ™‚

  5. Oh, happy belated birthday Mrs. Wilson! What a wonderful blessing to have all of your family there to celebrate with you!

  6. Happy belated birthday, Nancy. Not only are they a blessing to you, but I’m sure you’re a blessing to your family.

  7. Happy Birthday Nancy! I absolutely love that porch!! Please tell Bekah as soon as I can figure out how to get back out there for a visit I’m coming for coffee on the porch! πŸ™‚
